INCENTIVE: Clary would have two incentives, the first would be to get the cup back from Valentine's grubby evil clutches so she could save everyone, including Jace's dumb ass, and the second would be to give Simon the option to be alive again, without all the vampire-y-ness that is definitely her fault. So a cure to vampirism of some sorts. No harm or death would be caused by either of her incentives, quite the opposite, both would have the chance to save lives.

FIT: Clary is a pretty typical eighteen year old mundane, aside from actually being a Shadowhunter. She was raised not to know she was a Shadowhunter, so instead of being raised to fight demons, she was going to school and making friends and acting like any other mundane. With this came a very healthy understanding of right and wrong and consent, as we see she struggles over in an episode when trying to decide whether or not to bring her best friend Simon back as a vampire or not. Instead of hiding the fact that she made the somewhat selfish choice to bring him back as a vampire, she tells him, despite being told not to. This makes it obvious that she has a strong sense of right and wrong. Throughout the series, she is seen to hold hands with various characters, share hugs with various characters and even kiss Jace a couple times, making it clear that she understands intimacy and informed consent.

✢ Because Clary is a Shadowhunter -- a 'mundane' that has angel blood running through her veins -- she gets some of the perks along with that. They include enhanced strength, speed, agility, stamina, and coordination, which will improve over time with practice.
✢ Because she is a Shadowhunter she has the Sight -- this means she is able to see through most magical illusions and layers of glamour over reality without prompting, however sometimes she requires help due to being raised as a mundane.
✢ Her angel blood allows her to wield and use heavenly weapons as well as use and apply runes to herself, others and inanimate objects.
✢ Jace and Alec are currently training her with her swordsmanship.
